May is National Ride Your Bike to Work Month

What's grey, has two wheels, and weighs four tons? Elephant on a bike.

National Bike to Work Week is May 13-17, and for those who just getting their feet wet, Bike to Work Day is May 17th.

In and around Washington D.C., more than 12,000 new and experienced cyclists are expected to participate D.C.'s Bike To Work Day. There are convoys to connect with, classes, and 70 pit stops all around the are to aid and refresh cyclists on the 17th.

Some of the preparation in our small town of Portland, OR, includes the Bicycle Transportation Alliance hosting a Bike Commute Workshop on the 9th. Also, Portland By Cycle is hosting a Cycling Essentials class on the 9th.

Want to find out what is going on in your area? Check with your local bike shop/club or talk to a local bike advocacy group.
