If your vehicle is disabled and cannot be driven safely under its own power, you may contact our toll free dispatch service for assistance. If we are unable to secure a service provider that can service your vehicle in a timely manner, you may obtain pre-authorization to contact the facility of your choice and submit a claim for reimbursement. If you do not contact our toll free dispatch to arrange for service first, reimbursement is limited to $50 for Basic Memberships and $100 for Premium Memberships per occurrence.

Membership benefits apply to Better World Club members and not to any single vehicle. Members can be towed to the nearest service station or to your home. In some cases, you may not be taken to the location of your choice. For example, we may not tow you and your vehicle to a vacation home or to a friend's house. Be sure to have your active membership number available when you make a service call. Members must be with a disabled vehicle when service is rendered.

Better World roadside assistance is available throughout North America (in all fifty US states, the District of Columbia, and Canada). Auto club members are entitled to four service calls per year.

Service calls include towing, battery assistance, lockout assistance, flat tire assistance, gasoline delivery and extrication (winching).

Should your car become operable before service arrives please call Better World Club immediately to cancel your request. Un-cancelled calls will count toward a member’s yearly usage total.

Towing

Your vehicle can be towed up to your benefit limit, up to 5 or 100 miles, at no extra cost. If you choose to arrange for service on your own, you will be reimbursed up to $50 or $100, respective of your membership program. Certain restrictions apply. (Other auto clubs do not guarantee immediate availability for flatbed trucks.)

Better World Club has fulfilled your towing request when your disabled vehicle reaches its appointed destination. Any repairs or additional towing for the same breakdown will only be provided at a member's expense.

Local ordinances may prohibit a service provider from carrying more than one passenger. If necessary, the Club will assist members in finding alternative transportation to the towing destination and beyond. Transportation will be provided at members' expense.

Lockout Assistance

If you are locked out of your eligible vehicle, you must contact our toll free dispatch service for assistance. If you call us and we cannot dispatch service, our telephone representative will authorize you to call a local service provider and will give you an authorization number. You may then call the service provider of your choice and pay directly for services. You will be reimbursed up to $50 or $100, respective of your membership program.

Expenses that are not covered include, but are not limited to, labor to produce keys, replacement keys, and mechanical failure of locks or ignition system.

- Vehicle must be owned or leased (12-month lease or longer) by the member.
- An itemized receipt or statement from a commercial locksmith service or other service facility that details the amount charged for lockout services must be included when filing a claim.
- Private citizens' assistance is not reimbursable.
- Any and all taxes will not be reimbursed.

Battery Service

A jumpstart or minor emergency mechanical adjustments will be applied to start your vehicle at the point of disablement.

Flat Tire Assistance

We will install your inflated spare. (If you have no spare or if your spare is flat, no reimbursement is available for the cost of tire repair or the second service call to return the repaired tire to the disabled vehicle.) Better World Club does not bring new tires out to members. If your spare is flat, missing, or the original tire cannot be removed, the vehicle will be towed.

Gasoline, Oil, Fluid and Water Delivery Service

An emergency supply of gasoline, oil, water, or other materials or parts will be delivered to a member's vehicle in cases of immediate need. Members are responsible for the cost of the liquids, parts, or materials delivered. Delivery of diesel, biodiesel, or ethanol fuel is not available.

Extrication (Winching)

We will extricate your vehicle from a ditch, snow, mud or sand. This benefit cannot be used for everyday snow removal.

Service providers must have a safe and solid position from which to work.

In the event of an accident, your insurance provider should take responsibility for your vehicle and should be your first point of contact. If you are not able to obtain service through your insurance company, we will dispatch service to assist you. Roadside assistance coverage is limited to $50 and $100 for Basic Auto and Premium Auto members, respectively.

State, city, and regional maps are free to auto club members and can be ordered at any time for no extra charge. Please allow 7-10 business days for delivery. International maps (aside from Canadian maps) are not available at this time. More

Custom Trip Planning Service
Better World can provide you with detailed driving directions for your next road trip. You can submit a request at our member site or by calling customer service at 866.238.1137. Trip routing requests can be made by postal mail or fax (866.248.1117). Routings can be delivered either by email or postal mail.

Auto Theft Reward

We will pay for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person who steals your car. Benefit limit $5,000 Basic/$10,000 Premium. (This reward is not payable to members, their immediate family, or law officers.)

Hit-And-Run Reward

We will pay for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a a hit-and-run driver who damages your vehicle or injures you or your enrolled family member(s) while in your vehicle. Benefit limit $5,000 Basic/$10,000 Premium. (This reward is not payable to members, their immediate family, or law officers.)

If your vacation or personal trip is interrupted as a result of a collision involving your eligible vehicle more than 100 miles from your home, you may qualify for reimbursement of certain expenses incurred within 72 hours of the collision. Benefit limit up to $500 per occurrence with a $1,000 annual maximum for Basic members and $750 per occurrence with a $1,500 annual maximum for Premium members. Bail Bond Benefit

If you need to post bail for a traffic violation arrest, we cover both you and your enrolled family members for the payment of a required bond. You can be reimbursed for the bail bond premium for a required bond up to $1,000.00.* (Some limitations apply. Please refer to your membership contract for details.)

Legal Defense Benefit

If you must appear in court as a result of a traffic violation, you can be reimbursed for the fee charged by an attorney of your choice to defend you based on the following schedule.

A moving motor vehicle law violation $75, Appeal of that offense $75
Reckless Driving $150, Appeal of that offense $170
Manslaughter $600, Appeal of that offense $400
