Cyclist To Ride 100 Miles a Day to Halt Global Warming

On June 27th, 2008 Better World Club Bicycle Roadside Assistance member Sam Markewich will commence the Excellence Ride. The Excellence Ride is a fundraising kick off for the Excellence Fund, a fund started recently by Mr. Markewich in response to the growing crises our planet faces. The mission of the Excellence Fund is to offer grants and other funds to individuals and organizations demonstrating financial need, vision, passion and feasible actualization plans for projects that seek to solve planetary problems through bridging personal and global ecology. The Excellence Ride will be a solo 50-day cycling adventure through the western United States. Averaging 100 miles a day, Mr. Markewich will camp out every night and prepare and carry all of his food, sourced from organic, sustainable, free range and - wherever possible - local farms, businesses and storefronts. The Excellence Ride is an invocation and incitation to end the collective reliance on globally damaging energy sources and reawaken knowledge of the audacious hope of human ingenuity.

Mr. Markewich donates 10% of his earnings from Excellence In Training, his Sustainable Fitness and Nutrition Personal Training Center, to the Excellence Fund. Beginning in September, 2008, upon returning from the Excellence Ride, he will offer a 10% discount on in-person and online Fitness and Nutrition Training to all Better World Club Members (mention discount code BWC10D when emailing or calling)! He is also extending to Bike Roadside Assistance members an additional 10% discount on Eco Cycling Tours through Fully Loaded Cycle Tours.

The Excellence Ride is made possible in part by the generous support of the following businesses:

*Better World Club

*Buffalo Guys

*Cap'n Mike's Holy Smoke

*Gopal's Health Foods

*Lakeshore Natural Foods

*Lydia's Organics

*Montano Velo

*Old Man Mountain Pannier Racks
